I work at the intersection of quantitative research and applied AI. My professional background spans sales, business consulting, project management, and business analysis, alongside an academic track: a first-class BA Hons in International Business and Management, an MSc in Business Analysis and Strategic Management with distinction (Alliance Business School), and a PhD examining the impact of FinTech firms on SMEs in high-income OECD countries.
I spent eleven months as a researcher at the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance, where I was a named author on the CCAF / World Economic Forum report The Future of Global Fintech, contributing survey design, data collection and analysis, along with several chapters including the one on AI in finance. I have also worked as a FinTech researcher at McKinsey & Company.
At Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, I led a digital transformation workstream in the maternity unit, and contributed to the development of the new patient administration system, covering data migration, validation and testing. I also designed a pilot for a staff-facing self-service kiosk, allowing hospital staff to check HR policies anonymously or log in to raise HR requests. For the Integrated Care Board, I reviewed the intranet provision across 197 GP practices, delivering survey design,stakeholder interviews and data analysis, producing a strategic report for c-suite executives.
I am currently a Business Analyst at BAE Systems, where I was lead BA on a £50m company-wide programme and now work across a range of other projects.
Now
I’m building toward full-time AI safety research. I completed BlueDot Impact’s Technical AI Safety programme and am focused on the empirical side of safety: how capability evaluations are produced and assured, and how AI’s economic impact can be measured well.
My working hypothesis is that the empirical toolkit of econometrics, careful identification, panel methods, honest uncertainty, is underused in both, and I intend to help close that gap.
